- DO NOW: Reading quiz
- Get into your regular group. Assign roles: leader, timekeeper, secretary
- Respond to today’s prompts (Groups should respond to both prompts) (10 minutes)
- Group: Secretary- answer the following in the “Catcher Journal Week 2” Google Doc:
- Career Counseling: Holden talks with Sally about what he doesn't want to do and be when he grows up. He often imagines "escape routes" to avoid taking a role in the adult world, since he finds it so difficult to identify anything he likes.
- As Holden's career counselor, please evaluate each of the following career paths for Holden. Discuss how his strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes make each of these a good or a poor fit for him (or somewhere in the middle). Include notes and examples for each one. (full sentences)
- Writer for an advertising company
- Veterinarian
- Financial Sales
- Elementary school teacher
- Come up with your own after you finish the above!
- If time, begin reading chapters 19-20
