Catcher Motifs

Do now: Which motif seems the most interesting to you?  Why?

Objectives:
  • examine how objects/sayings can accrue meaning over time
  • strive to unpack meaning of motifs

Agenda:
  1. do now
  2. In groups: share findings for your motif
  3. Complete the “meaning” column for your assigned motif
  4. On a piece of easel paper: draw your motif (as big as possible), write three quote examples of motif, and write an assertion statement about the meaning of the motif

HW: Read chapters 21-22 for THURSDAY & post to “Catcher Quotation Discussion” according to the schedule.
